How It Started
It started with a simple question
Libbees Coffee Co was founded in Brighton in 2023 by Tammy and Stuart, after their daughter Libby asked the question that started it all: "Can we have bees?" What began as a simple Daddy-and-Daughter idea quickly became an adventure. We had no clue what we were doing at first, but we learned fast, had fun together, and that was the whole point.
For Stuart, it was also a chance to teach Libby something bigger: that choosing to say "yes we can" builds a mindset she can carry into anything she sets her heart on. To believe in herself. To get up, keep going, and never give up.
“Tammy and I have always loved great coffee. One day I mentioned to her that I'd bought a coffee bean grinder so we could enjoy better coffee at home. What I forgot to mention was that attached to it was an already kitted out van: a commercial espresso machine, fridges…the lot.”
And just like that, Libbees Coffee Co. was born.

The Bean Grinder (and the Van)
Stuart told Tammy he'd bought a coffee grinder for home. Forgot to mention he'd also bought a fully kitted-out van: commercial espresso machine, fridges…the lot.

Named in honour of Libby and her love of bees, Libbees Coffee Co began with a single "yes we can" decision from Tammy and Stuart.
